SNCF runs 20 trains every day from France's major cities and 11 regular international connections to NICE.  The high-speed TGV train can take you from Paris to Nice in 6½ hours, with two connections a day from October to May and three from June to September.

The "motorail" service runs between major French cities: cars are carried at the same time as their owners, travelling in trains with sleeping cars.

Situated in the heart of the city, the port of Nice consists of a 10-hectare, man-made basin, 7 hectares of land and ten or so quays. The major shipping companies and numerous cruise liners call at the port.

There is a daily car-ferry service to Corsica.
Pleasure-boating is also well represented in the port of Nice, with all its associated services, including mooring on floating pontoons, finger piers, quays, slipways, automatic washers, ice machines, fuel, showers, toilets, telephone, cable television, daily weather reports and boat hire.
